Refund Policy

 

Del Norte Wrestling, Inc. – Refund Policy for Prepaid Fees


Effective Date: [09/08/2025]


Del Norte Wrestling, Inc. ("the Club") is committed to fairness and transparency in handling prepaid fees for our youth wrestling programs. As a nonprofit organization serving the community, we strive to accommodate reasonable refund requests while ensuring the sustainability of our operations.


1. Initial Refund

Members may cancel their registration within 5 business days of payment and receive a full refund, provided that:

  • No practices or events have been attended.
  • Cancellation request is submitted in writing (email or letter) within that time.


2. Extended Refund

Refunds for cancellations after the 5-day period may be granted, less administrative costs, prior to the 2nd week of practice under the following circumstances:


a. Relocation: If the participant moves more than 25 miles away from Del Norte County, a refund may be granted. 


b. Medical Condition or Injury; If a participant suffers a medical condition or injury that occurs within the first week of practice and prevents participation for the remainder of the season, a refund may be granted upon receipt of a doctor’s note.


3. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable once issued or ordered:

  • USA Wrestling Membership fees
  • Team gear (uniforms, warm-ups, etc.)
  • Tournament registration fees already paid
  • Insurance or administrative processing fees (up to $25)


4. Refund Request Process

To request a refund, please:

  1. Submit a written request to:

  2. Include:
    • Participant’s full name
    • Reason for cancellation
    • Date of original payment
    • Any supporting documentation (e.g., medical note, proof of relocation)

  1. Requests will be reviewed by the Board of Directors and responded to within 14 business days.


5. Discretionary Clause

The Club reserves the right to make exceptions in extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
